Smith Hulsey & Busey Closes Nextran’s Acquisition of Midwestern Mack Trucks Dealer

Smith Hulsey & Busey’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice group has guided Nextran Truck Centers, a full-service commercial truck dealer, through its acquisition of prominent Midwestern Mack Trucks dealer Quincy Mack, Decatur Mack and H&L Mack. 

The recently closed deal expands Nextran’s presence from 26 to 31 locations around the United States. The newly acquired locations are in Missouri, as well as Illinois and Iowa, where Nextran has not previously had a presence. The acquisition will strengthen Nextran’s industry-leading sales, parts, service and rental & leasing operations.

SHB negotiated the transaction and prepared all documents on Nextran’s behalf. The team included attorneys Samantha Roy and Catherine Gleason, who handled corporate matters; attorney David Roberts, who oversaw real estate activity; and attorney John Wallace, who assisted with environmental issues.
