Kimberlee C. Styple

Associate

Kimberlee Styple is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, focusing on business and complex commercial litigation. In addition, Kim represents banks in debt restructuring and workouts.

Prior to joining Smith Hulsey & Busey, Kim was an in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 title insurance and settlement service company with a $14.5 billion market capitalization. As Assistant Vice President and Claims Counsel, Kim devised strategies to resolve disputes, including civil actions against the company, high-exposure insurance coverage, and reinsurance issues.

Kim earned her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and her B.A. in English and Criminology from the University of Florida. While in law school, she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.

Outside the office, Kim can be found spending time with family and her two foster-failed cats, Lilac and Maple. Kim also enjoys gardening, reading fiction and nonfiction, and rooting for the Florida Gators with her fiancé.
