Firm attorney R. Christopher Dix has been named president of the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) member chapter in Jacksonville.
The Jacksonville chapter, which joins similar groups in Detroit, Washington, DC, San Francisco, New York and New England, delivers the knowledge and opportunities ACEDS provides its members to a local level.
The e-discovery association, the largest in the world and the sole provider of the CEDS credential, promotes e-discovery competence, risk and cost reduction, and career advancement through certification, education, training and networking.
“There has never been an organization in the Northeast Florida/Jacksonville area that is dedicated to learning about and improving the practice of e-discovery,” said Chris Dix. “The vision for ACEDS Jacksonville is to fill that void by building a community of individuals from various backgrounds and disciplines, including attorneys, paralegals, IT, litigation support, records management and law enforcement, that can collaborate and learn from each other about e-discovery.”
The chapter is one of several that are broadening the reach of ACEDS in the United States and abroad. More information on ACEDS can be found at www.aceds.org.
